Lab Spectrometer

Intermediate Spectrometer consists of a cast iron base along with leveling screws and bright plated fittings, read and protected by two opposite veniers. The equipment is used to make acute observations while performing complex physics experiments. Robust and precise designing enhances the durability and accuracy of the instruments. Carefully packed in a well polished wooden box, the chromatic telescope is fitted with premium grade Ram’s Den eye piece fitted with collimator and a cross wire. The spectrometer has a protected circle covered with brass scale and SS scale. We offer intermediate spectrometer in various sizes ranging from 15 cm to 17.5cm.

The spectrometer consists of a graduated circle, generally fixed in a horizontal position, to which is attached a collimator and a telescope. The collimator consists of a tube containing an achromatic lens at one end and a vertical slit at the principal focus of the lens. The movable arm carries an astronomical telescope which is always directed towards the center of the graduated circle. The position of the telescope with reference to the fixed circle may be read by means of a vernier. Above the center of the graduated circle is a horizontal table, called the table of the spectrometer, which is capable of rotation about the vertical axis of the circle. The position of the circle table can be determined by means of the vernier.

B compact visible spectroscope with wavelength scale which allows the direct reading of spectral length and employs a prism for dispersion. It is also useful for flame test of basic radicals (sodium, strontium, potassium, copper etc.) There is a single eyepiece and independent focusing tube for the graticule, which carries an index at 590mm. with "D", marked right below the scale, (corresponding to the wave length of sodium light) can be calibrated to a known light source by adjustment of knurled screw. The amount of light admitted to the spectroscope can be regulated by a variable slit, adjusted by a knurled ring round the rating tube.
